Trump says trade deal with South Korea to be finalised ‘very soon’

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (October 29, 2025) that a trade deal between the United States and South Korea would be finalised “very soon”.

Ahead of summit talks with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, President Trump touted his economic policies as key to bringing investments back into the United States.

President Trump also said Chinese President Xi Jinping was coming to South Korea on Thursday (October 28, 2025) and they were going to achieve a “good deal” for the two countries.
